Western politicians suffering from Malcovich-Malcovich

In the theatre we call democracy, there is no chorus (i.e the public).

All we have is a bunch of central characters,

politicians,

talking to one another.
Each one with his/her nose and his dick up some other politician's keister.

And because they're all corrupt, all they hear are corrupt ideas.

Tea Party, Koch Party, Coke Party

They are paid off by bankers, and they pay off the media.
Once in a while, one guy gets through the filter, as Dylan did.

Dylan Ratigan basically laid it all out a few days ago.

what a flow of consciousness, and he still had the
focus to run the show and allow others to talk.
Truth be told, they were stunned by Dylan's opus.

BTW, he also mentioned my pet word for the year:

OFFSHORE,

as in the jurisdiction where all of the filthy lucre is being stashed
while the Western world suffers from the same financial greed
that it has foisted on the rest of the planet for about 500 years.

This guy, Olbermann has really thought his rhetoric out. Some of it is really powerful.
